He took the blind man by the hand and led him outside the village. Then putting spittle on his eyes and laying his hands on him, he asked, 'Can you see anything?'. Webhealing the blind man at Bethsaida in Mark 8:22–26. A cursory glance reveals that Jesus healed the blind man in two phases, almost as if he was not able to heal him on the first attempt. No doubt this passage has left many Christian Bible readers puzzled, wondering why Jesus did not heal the man all at once, as was his custom.
