WebOct 5, 2024 · I'm maybe wrong think flame cutting is caused by firing a lot of 125 gr .38 spl and .357 mags and maybe out of spec or uneven forcing cone . I have a 686 plus and mostly shoot 130 -158 gr .38 spl and just a few 125 gr ,38 spl +P and .357 Mags. Top strap is a little discolored but cleans off with hoppes9 and bronze brush .
