I would recommend using a relay to have the fuel pump load off the ignition switch itself. You will also need a pressure regulator to drop the pressure down from 45 - 55 psi down to 6 to 10 psi depending on what carb you run.

When first connecting the battery, the drain was 81.1 ma -> this then settled to 48.0 ma once the LCD handheld controller went into "sleep" mode / displayed turned off.
