WebDALYELL or DALZELL, Sir ROBERT sixth Earl of Carnwath ( d. 1737), was the eldest son of Sir John Dalyell of Glenae, Dumfriesshire, by his wife Harriet, second daughter of Sir William Murray of Stanhope, bart. He was educated at the university of Cambridge, and like his other relations was a zealous supporter of the Stuarts.
