The CBOB and VBOB use an officers mainspring to gain the room to remove the portion of grip and I don't know that it is possible to make a functioning mainspring shorter than an officers. Robert.

WebJan 17, 2024 · The grip is solid material/workmanship. It fits a Dan Wesson with les bear bobtail, but not perfect, leaving a screw for the main spring housing visible at the base. I like it, it looks great, but the mag release groove is too deep/long for my liking; grip is awkward at times with the off hand because it sets the strong hand thumb so low.
