WebMar 9, 2011 · Yes, the TAD 60 gives great low end. The 40 thickness gives a thinner tone. The 50 give a bit fuller tone and is best for a mandolin with a darker/warmer tone, IMHO. The TAD 60 (what I use) seems to give the most power and low end if the mandolin and the player's technique is powerful. Some players find this pick a bit too thick, YMMV. WebListed. 6 years ago.
